LETS TACO-BOUT TEACHERS, SPRING GALA &
HALL OF FAME INDUCTION CEREMONY!
This year's 2nd annual Tacos & Tequila event with BCRC resulted in $6,000.00 raised for Teaching Assistance Grants! A new casino night was added to this fun event which helps BEF invest in new teachers and their classrooms!
The 2nd annual Spring Gala added new sponsorship opportunities, new prizes to bid on at the silent auction, and a new "best" amnount raised--$39.000.00 for BEF's Flagship Innovative Project Grant program! The very first class of Hall of Fame Inductees were celebrated as history was made in honor of USD 348 educational excellence in its many forms!
2024-2025 Highlights
1st Annual Spring Fundraising Gala at new Baldwin Community Center sold out swiftly! This first year event raised $28,274.63 for our kids and staff, with launch announcements including a NEW Hall of Fame program and debut of THIS new website!
This was achieved by the generosity of sponsors, donors and supporters. THANK YOU!





BEF Receives Community Partnership of the Year Award!
Several honors for BEF this spring, some of which included the Community Partnership of the Year Award from Baker University for 1st annual "Cats and Dogs Paws to Serve" outreach day sponsored by the Brenda Shawley Memorial Fund. Other awards included nomination for the Chamber of Commerce’s Local Heroes Award and Grant award selection from the Fairy Godmother Fund of the Douglas County Community Foundation for outreach support for the Baldwin Primary Center’s Parents as Teachers program!

BEF Staff Outreach
BEF sponsored and/or provided many staff programs this year, some of which included a NEW “We Love Our Schools & Community” Valentines Week, Kansas Teacher of the Year Luncheon, Teacher Appreciation Week, and the annual Year-End Staff Recognition Breakfast.

NEW WAYS TO GIVE BACK TO COMMUNITY through 1st annual “Cats and Dogs PAWS TO SERVE” with food pantry drive, valentines and May Day baskets for Baldwin senior residents, treat bags for first responders, letters to deployed troops, hygiene kits for Bert Nash outreach, and Kindness Kits for LMH patients!

A RECORD $38,451.00 awarded for 48 Innovative Project Grants for the 2024-25 school year!
